This isn’t much of an exaggeration. Before I met my wife I’d get to the airport three hours early, just so I knew nothing could go wrong. My wife prefers to get to the gate right when they’re boarding. She says she’s “never missed a flight,” but I get little comfort from that when standing in the security line and staring at the time on my boarding pass.
I’m with you on this one. 3-4 hours early does it for me. Though I should clarify; I never get on domestic flights. It’s always international… so I guess that justifies the “extra care”.
